Thomas Craig Reimler, known to family and friends as Tom, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Holmen, Wisconsin, at the age of 61.
Tom was born on September 11, 1964, in Sumner, Iowa, the son of Leon and Alice (Day) Reimler. He grew up with a strong sense of family, hard work, community, and a love for baseball given to him by his father; values that remained with him throughout his life. Those who knew Tom will remember him as someone who always put others before himself, had a deep sense of responsibility to those he cared for, and someone who cherished the relationships he built with family and friends.
Tom graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he earned his baccalaureate degree and laid the foundation for a successful professional life. He later served as Controller at Benchmark Electronics in Winona, Minnesota where he dedicated more than 15 years of service. Tom was respected for his integrity, work ethic, and the thoughtful way he approached both his work and the people around him.
On May 7, 1988, Tom married Kristine A. Schmall in Sumner, Iowa. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and shared memories. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Aaron Reimler and Nathan Reimler, both of whom brought him great pride and joy. Tom cherished his role as a husband and father, and in supporting his two sons in their many endeavors throughout their lives whether it be in sports, music, academics, or career.
Tom had many interests that brought him happiness over the years. He enjoyed golf, frequent outings with close family friends, and was a devoted fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Iowa Hawkeyes. Tom and his family enjoyed traveling together, especially to warm destinations, and, along with his wife, frequently sought excuses to temporarily escape the Wisconsin winters. Whether he was spending time with family and friends, commiserating with his sons about the shared frustrations that come with Vikings fandom, or enjoying time on a far-away beach, Tom found joy in the small moments that make life meaningful.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine A. Reimler; his sons, Aaron Reimler (Jayme Stoflet) of San Diego, California, and Nathan Reimler (Brianna Weiler) of La Crosse, Wisconsin; his sister, Jane and Bill Biskup of Dallas, Texas; and his brothers, Bob and Kathy Reimler of Chanhassen, Minnesota, and Mike and Tammy Reimler of Rodgers, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Alice Reimler; his sister, Kathy Kafer; and his brother, William Reimler.
Tom will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the adventures he embraced, and the generosity that defined his life. His family and friends will carry forward his memory with gratitude for the time they shared with him and the many ways he enriched their lives.
