Scott Harves, a senior feature producer at ESPN, will be the featured guest at Wartburg’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) professional speaker series at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29 in Whitehouse Business Center 214.
During the free event, Harves will share experiences from 30 years at ESPN and how he achieved landed his spot on the investigative and enterprise journalism unit, where he has directed, produced and edited multiple documentaries.
In his decades of storytelling for ESPN, Harves has collected numerous accolades for his work, including a National Edward R. Murrow Award for journalism and numerous national Sports Emmy Awards.
After graduating from Wartburg in 1997, Harves began working at ESPN’s Bristol, Connecticut, headquarters as a production assistant. Within years, he was producing TV features for many of the network’s shows, including “SportsCenter,” “College GameDay” and “NFL Countdown.”
Wartburg’s PRSSA chapter has partnered with Wartburg graduates and area professionals who are leaders in their field for its 2026-27 Professional Speaker Presentation Series.
