Name: Dawson Clark
Graduation Year: 2027
Major: American History Education
Campus Involvement: Castle Singers, Wartburg Choir, Ritterchor, Dance Marathon, RA, Catholic Knights

What school did you transfer from and why: I transferred from North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) because I had participated in several music camps and events during high school, and I enjoyed my experiences. My sister and brother-in-law both transferred to Wartburg as well, so I knew it would be a good choice.

Who at Wartburg made the transfer process easier: My transfer admissions counselor really helped me with my transition process even before I transferred. Several of us transferred from NIACC to  Wartburg who were involved in music. That and being chosen as an RA for my first year at Wartburg helped me get to know many people and the campus even better.

Why did you choose Wartburg: I chose Wartburg because it is close to home. Family is important to me, so I am glad we have such a great college close to my hometown.

How has music been an important part of your transfer journey: I have really enjoyed being involved with the music program at Wartburg. I have been able to travel across the U.S. and I will be traveling internationally the next two years.

How has being involved in the Wartburg Choir impacted your Wartburg journey: Being part of Wartburg music in general has been great. I have met some amazing people in my ensembles and on our tours around the country.

What is something you are most excited about this year at Wartburg: I am really looking forward to the trips with Castle Singers, Ritterchor, and Wartburg Choir this year.
