Two Wartburg College music ensembles — Castle Singers and Kammerstreicher — will perform a joint concert in Mason City Sunday, Nov. 8.
Prior to the 2 p.m. concert at Trinity Lutheran Church, the ensembles will participate in church services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Though the concert is free to the public, freewill donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of the ensembles’ international tour during the college’s May Term.
The Castle Singers, under the direction of Brett Gregory, and Kammerstreicher, under the direction of Rebecca Nederheiser, will each play selections from their international tour repertoire before joining for Ola Gjeilo’s “The Ground” and Darlene Zschech’s “Shout to the Lord.”
The ensembles will visit Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and France while on tour, including a stop in Waverly’s sister city of Eisenach, Germany.
