
The Wartburg College Alumni Board has added new members for the 2025-26 academic year. The group is made up of volunteers who serve two-year terms as liaisons between the larger alumni community and the college to provide advice and support to the Alumni & Parent Engagement Office while encouraging alumni participation in the life of the college.
The new members are:
- Robin Abraham ’84, of Cedar Falls, retired.
- Amelia Armstrong ’04, Platteville, Wisconsin, a music educator at Platteville High School.
- Maddie Baez ’18, Rock Island, Illinois, manager of the engineering and physics lab at North Park University.
- Emmett Buckles ’17, Chicago, Illinois, an aftersales area manager with Stellantis.
- Mike Crawford ’91, Sycamore, Illinois, owner/CEO of MED Alliance.
- Meg Harper Rath ’17, Oelwein, vice president of marketing at AgeWell Solvere Living.
- Carol Ratekin ’85, Johnston, underwriting business solutions director at EMC Insurance Co.
- Randy Ratekin ’85, Johnston, enterprise continuity and risk manager at EMC Insurance Co.
- Tyler Urich ’07, Chariton, 6-12 vocal music director at Chariton Community School District.
“I’m grateful for the excited engagement of our new members,” said Jen Bye Christy ’95, Alumni Board president. “I look forward to hearing their perspectives as we consider the future of Wartburg and how best to maintain the connection between the college and our alumni community.”
