KatieJo Svenson will be the fourth speaker in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) professional speaker series Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., in Whitehouse Business Center 214.
During the free event, Svenson will share her experiences in athletics communications and sports information.
Svenson co-founded Wartburg’s Knight Vision with the Department of Journalism & Communication and served as the college’s sports information director for 11 years. She is a national winner of the CoSIDA Rising Star Award, served on the CoSIDA Board of Directors for a four-year period and won numerous CoSIDA awards for her writing and other promotional content. She is now the assistant commissioner with the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.
Wartburg’s PRSSA chapter has partnered with Wartburg graduates and area professionals who are leaders in their field for its 2025-26 Professional Speaker Presentation Series.
