Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Wartburg College awards $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships to qualified candidates from a community or two-year college. Candidates must be active members of the PTK Chapter at the two-year institution they currently attend. Awards are renewable for one year with a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher. Deadline for application is May 1.

TO QUALIFY

  • Candidates must have applied and been accepted for admission to Wartburg before the March 1 deadline.
  • Candidates must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (from all post-secondary schools, if applicable).
  • Candidates must have completed at least 45 academic semester hours prior to enrolling at Wartburg in Fall Term; 30 academic semester hours must be posted on transcripts by the March 1 deadline.
  • Candidates must demonstrate leadership skills in community or college activities.
  • Candidates must hold current Phi Theta Kappa membership.
  • Candidates must seek full-time undergraduate enrollment for Fall Term.

  • When applying for the Wartburg College Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, you are encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by the March 1 priority deadline. Although the scholarship is not based on need, filing the FAFSA form will enable Wartburg to determine if you qualify for additional scholarships or financial aid.
