More about Tammy Faux

Tammy joined the Wartburg Social Work faculty in 2004 and is currently serving as Department Chair and Tomson Family Distinguished Chair in Social Work. In addition to her prior experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate level Social Work courses, Tammy also worked as a child protection and child welfare social worker for public agencies. She has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for a juvenile court. Tammy’s areas of interest include children, youth and family social work, child abuse prevention, service learning and technology in education. Her current research and presentations have been related to foster care and program evaluations for area agencies. Tammy advises the campus Habitat for Humanity Chapter, the Social Work Club and frequently advises student research projects.
