After graduating from Wartburg, Kennedy began her nonprofit career at Cedar Valley Friends of the Family. Prior to joining Wartburg, she worked for CommUnity Crisis Services developing crisis counseling program training for the 988 LGBTQ+ Youth and Iowa Suicide and Crisis Hotlines, including de-escalation training for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Kennedy has also contracted with the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault on federally grant-funded research for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Office on Violence Against Women. Now back at Wartburg, she focuses on applying her background in relationship-building and program development to strengthen connections among alumni, family, and friends as they live out their Wartburg story.
