Education
Dr. Greg Lorenz earned his PhD in Education and Human Resource Studies from Colorado State University and holds a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Biomechanics. He also completed a Postsecondary Teaching Certificate, coursework in Digital Leadership through Boston University’s MicroMasters program, and multiple credentials in experiential education.
Professional Experience
With over 25 years of experience in higher education, Dr. Lorenz has held senior leadership, faculty, and administrative roles across multiple institutions. Most recently, he served as Director of the Frontline Manager Leadership Program at the University of Denver, a custom corporate leadership program serving professionals across industries. His background also includes serving as Vice President and board member of the National Society for Experiential Education, Dean of Experiential Education, and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Chair for the College of Arts & Sciences at Johnson & Wales University, and previous faculty and director roles at Wartburg College.

Beyond the Classroom
Greg trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (purple belt), hiking, fitness, and enjoys reading a variety of genres including espionage, productivity, and leadership books. Some of his favorites include Callings by Gregg Levoy, Deep Work by Cal Newport, and The Sports Gene by David Epstein. His favorite quote—“Who are you becoming?”—reflects his focus on growth and intentional leadership.
