Dr. Ashley Jones teaches communication courses in a variety of areas including sports media, multimedia journalism, and graphic design. She is the advisor for the The Wartburg Trumpet, the student-run newspaper. She also serves in an advisory role for Knight Vision Streaming and works with student announcers for home athletic events.
Dr. Jones is a member of the National Communication Association and the Popular Culture Association. She is the author of the book “The Feminist Queer Adventure Line: How Digital Games Create Radical Spaces.” She has been published in several journals including Games & Culture, MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture, and Transformative Works and Cultures. Dr. Jones has also contributed to several edited collections including the second edition of “Encyclopedia of Video Games,” “Broadening Horizon,” and “Subjectivities of Interactive Nostalgia.”
