Maurice Lavar Lang, 47, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away on July 13, 2026.

Born on January 16, 1979, in Hollywood, Florida, Maurice was the beloved son of Ms. Deloris Dames and Mr. Freddie White. Throughout his life, he was known for his kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and his genuine appreciation for the people and experiences that brought him joy.

Maurice was a proud graduate of Wartburg College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. His time there reflected his dedication to education, personal growth, and perseverance.

Above all, Maurice’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Desarae, Roman, and Victoria. He treasured every moment spent with them and created lasting memories through simple but meaningful traditions, especially the daddy-daughter movie nights he shared with his daughters. His love for his children was evident in everything he did.

A lifelong football enthusiast, Maurice played the sport during both high school and college. His passion for the game never faded, and he remained a devoted fan of the Miami Hurricanes throughout his life. Beyond football, he enjoyed watching television and movies, finding happiness in sharing those moments with family and friends.

Maurice will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of family, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his children, family, friends, and all who loved him.
