Judith Ann Miller, age 79, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1945, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Robert and Hilda (Fischer) Weiss. Judith would later graduate from Isaac C. Elston High School in 1963 and the Wartburg College in 1967.
On June 10, 1972, Judith married Herbert Miller at the Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville, Ohio. They raised one son and celebrated more than 42 years of marriage, before Herbert’s passing in 2015.
Judith was a teacher, first starting in Indiana, then moved and taught at Solomon Lutheran School in Woodville, Ohio, and later retired from Woodmore Schools after 30 plus years of teaching.
She was a woman of faith, and was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church. Her ministries included: ELCA Women, and the Ruth Circle. She enjoyed baking, reading, cross stitch, quilting and her cats. Judith had many loves; her greatest love was her family.
Judith is survived by her son, Andrew Paul Miller of Woodville; special grandchild, Aryn N. Kauble-Miller of Fremont; special stepdaughter, Tina of Alabama; stepdaughters, Terri and Tammy of Tennessee; nieces, Cindy, Beth, Pam, Amy, Deon, Deborah, Megan, Mellissa, Charlene and Cheryl; nephews, David, Richard, Michael and Jason David; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Fredrick Weiss and Philip Weiss, both of Michigan City, Indiana, and James Weiss of Arizona; sister-in-law, Carol Ameling of Woodville; brother-in-law, Richard Cains of Michigan City, Indiana; and feline pals, Prince and Molly.
In addition to her husband, Herbert, she was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Suzanne Cains; nephew, Donald Weiss; sister-in-law, Carol Weiss; and brother-in-law, Harold Miller.
