Digital Mail Notification

The Wartburg Mail Center uses Received Digital to scan all incoming mail. You can view your mail before picking it up through the Received Digital website or app or via emails from mailroom@wartburg.edu. To set up access to Received Digital, use the Forgot Password? link and enter your Wartburg email address.

All mail will continue to be delivered to your campus mailbox or office mail location, though you can mark unwanted items to be recycled before delivery. Mail Center staff will make every attempt to process recycling requests prior to delivery to campus offices, usually beginning around 1 p.m.

You can opt out of Received Digital emails by logging into your account. Please contact the Mail Center with questions and feedback by replying to any notification or emailing mailroom@wartburg.edu.

FAQ
What is my login/password?

To set up your account the first time, use the Forgot Password? link and enter your Wartburg email address.

Do I have to use Received Digital?
No, but the Mail Center welcomes your feedback, including if you appreciate seeing your incoming mail.

I marked something to recycle but got it anyway. Why?
Mail volume may have impeded processing the order or your request came in after deliveries go out. We encourage you to continue to mark items as we improve processing and timing.

Can I stop getting emails?
Yes. Log into the Received Digital website or app and access your profile via the circle in the upper-right corner. Select Notifications and choose the settings that make sense for you.

What do I do if something I marked for delivery doesn’t show up?
Please contact the Mail Center.

I keep getting mail for someone else. Why?
If you repeatedly receive notifications for mail that isn’t yours, it is likely mail that is addressed to your predecessor or a related position in your department. We will forward mail that we deem might be wanted by the position on campus, even if the original recipient is no longer here. Contact the Mail Center to let us know what you prefer to have done with this mail in the future.

Can I opt out entirely and not have my mail scanned?
The Mail Center scans all mail to create a record as part of the delivery process. Feel free to turn off notifications, and your mail will continue to be delivered as normal.

Can I get a text instead of an email?
Yes, you can. Access your profile in Received Digital and choose Notifications to toggle these options.

Why do we have this?
This program is based on the Informed Delivery program by the U.S. Postal Service with some bonus features like directing recycling of unwanted mail and even an open and scan option. We hope to encourage visibility for mail while reducing wasted time dealing with unwanted mail for the campus community.
