Wartburg College’s Knightliters Jazz Band will present its annual winter concert Friday, Dec. 7.
The jazz band will perform under the direction of Allan Jacobson in a concert that also will feature the student-led Ninth Street Jazz Band II. The performance at 7:30 p.m. in McCaskey Lyceum in Saemann Student Center is free and open to the public.
The concert will include the music of well-known jazz composers such as Thad Jones and Buddy Rich as well as such standards as “The Thrill Is Gone,” “Over the Rainbow” and “Silent Night.”
