JOIN A CHOIR

JOINING A CHOIR IS SIMPLE  
Just click on this link to schedule a quick (and no stress) choir placement. Choir placements for all choirs will be held on Monday, Sept. 2- Wednesday, Sept. 4. Please note that Tuesday, Sept. 3 is reserved for incoming voice scholarship recipients and incoming music majors only. You are welcome to sing in multiple choirs so feel free to audition for more than one choir. For example, you can be in Ritterchor and Wartburg Choir; Kantorei and Ritterchor; St. Elizabeth Chorale and Castle Singers; Castle Singers and Wartburg Choir; etc.

Non-Auditioned Choirs

No preparation is required for non-auditioned choirs. Simply click here to schedule a choir placement hearing where we will do a range check to determine which voice part you will sing. The choir placement will be in the choral hall of the Bachman Fine Arts Center. 

Auditioned Choirs 
Click here to schedule your audition time. The audition will include a range check, a short segment of a prepared solo of your choosing (or you can sing something like “My Country tis’ of Thee”), tonal memory exercises, and a short sight-reading excerpt. We will provide an accompanist for you or you can bring your own. You are also welcome to sing a cappella. If you bring a piece to sing, please bring a copy of the music for the accompanist. Photocopies are fine. Callbacks for Wartburg Choir and Castle Singers will be held on Sept. 5.
