America’s Music’ will rock with legendary stars Thursday, Oct. 10

How rock ’n’ roll took the country by storm will be featured during Wartburg College’s “America’s Music” series Thursday, Oct. 10.

The Emmy-nominated “History of Rock ‘n’ Roll” will be shown during the 6:30-8:30 p.m. session at the Waverly Public Library. Legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Judi Collins, Jimi Hendrix and the Beach Boys are featured. A rare meeting between Bob Dylan and The Beatles is also highlighted. The film is free and open to the public.

A discussion led by Dr. Geoffrey Wilson, Wartburg lecturer in music, will follow.

The six-week “America’s Music” series runs consecutive Thursdays until Oct. 17.
