Name: Alicia Mutasingwa
Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Major: Biology (Pre-Nursing)
Why did you choose Wartburg: I chose Wartburg because I felt invested after one visit.
What has been your favorite class: My favorite class was Philosophy, Faith and Reason with Dr. Helgevold. I enjoyed how we were able to develop our own reasoning techniques. I really learned the importance of being able to have rationale behind our beliefs and personal philosophies, while also acknowledging and respecting other concepts and beliefs.
How would you describe Wartburg in three words: Experience, community, home
What opportunities have you had to travel while at Wartburg: I traveled to Germany, Morocco, and Spain in May Term 2026 with the Wartburg Choir, and my favorite part was meeting new friends in each country and bonding over niche shared interests.
