Elementary education students Kate Heithoff, Katie Hilton, Addison Phillips and Allie Schweitzberger presented Dr. Bechtel’s “Learning Through Biophilia by Incorporating Aquaponics” at the Iowa Agriculture in the Classroom Learning and Leadership Conference in Des Moines. They taught attendees how agriculture and aquaponics fit together and can be incorporated in the PK-12 classroom. The students filled in for Dr. Michael Bechtel, who is currently doing a visiting professorship at Martin Luther University – Halle.
