I am a wife, mother (2 sons), Practical Nurse, Child Nutrition Professional, and active partner in our family farm operation. I am committed to lifelong learning and take pride in a strong work ethic, a service-oriented mindset, and a dedication to supporting the well-being of others.
Since 2006, I owned/operated Little Tots Family Daycare, a State of Iowa registered in-home childcare program. I have provided care for children of various ages and abilities, including those with special needs. I have worked closely with families and external agencies to ensure children receive appropriate support and services. My focus was maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promoted healthy development and early learning.
I bring six years of experience in the healthcare field, where I worked as both a Licensed Practical Nurse and an office manager. I am on the board of a local non-profit animal organization. We have two dogs and four cats that have all been rescued!
My education includes a Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma and an Early Childhood Education Diploma from Des Moines Area Community College, along with additional coursework in accounting and early childhood education.
