What I Do: It took quite a while in my undergrad experience to realize the professionals around me worked in higher ed as their career. Once I figured that out, I knew this goal of helping people that I’d had throughout my college experience was going to keep me in the college setting for the long haul. Through graduate school and beyond, I’ve worked primarily in student support roles walking along students navigating personal and academic concerns, but I have also dabbled in student conduct and have a background in supporting low-income and first-generation students like me. At Wartburg, I have the pleasure of overseeing and creating academic support services that hope to meet the needs of all our students, in and outside of the classroom. I love getting to see individual student growth and creating relationships that recognize the unique talents everyone brings to the table, while also getting to uplift Academic Resource Center staff and campus partners to center students in all that we do.

About Me: I live in Waverly with my husband, Drew, where we love to attend sporting events, watch Iowa State athletics, and spend time outdoors or with our nieces and nephew. Ask me about biking in the Cedar Valley, our on-going bird feeder vs squirrel battle, and book recommendations!

My Wartburg Favorite(s): RICE Day, lemon sweet bread, and The W’s popcorn
