Paul Gene Anderson
August 12, 1943 – December 28, 2024
It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul Gene Anderson announces his passing after a prolonged illness, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home in Houston, Texas. He was 81 years old.
Early Life and Education
Paul was born on August 12, 1943, in Ironwood, Michigan, the son of Theodore Grant and Florence Hackett Anderson. He spent much of his childhood in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he developed a deep appreciation for both the rugged beauty of the Upper Midwest and the values of community and learning instilled by his father, who served as the principal of John Marshall High School. It was there in Wausau, amidst the snow-capped peaks and the close-knit fabric of small-town life, that Paul began to shape the character and intellect that would guide him throughout his life. After graduating from high school, Paul continued his academic journey at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he forged lifelong friendships and deepened his passion for learning and hard work.

Paul will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 19 years, Cristina; the mother of his children, Belita; his children, Aric (Lynnette) and Paula (Ed); his four grandchildren, Courtney, Cristen, Brooke, and Rylee; and his three great-grandchildren, Abel, Blakely, and Briar. Paul is also survived by his dear brothers, Ted, JD, and Mark Anderson. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Judy and Christina.
