‘Wartburg was the best decision I ever made’

Trent Roberts ’26 says transferring to Wartburg was one of the best decisions he’s ever made.

“I transferred to Wartburg because of the opportunities Wartburg provided for me to grow as an individual,” said Roberts.

The exercise science major from Hampton, Illinois, is on the way to his dream career while also competing with the nationally ranked football team.

“I am able to start on the path to becoming a sports physical therapist and also have the opportunity to start fresh in football,” said Roberts, who transferred to Wartburg from St. Ambrose  University.

Roberts first heard of Wartburg during his junior year of high school through the recruitment process and wishes he had chosen Wartburg then.

“I am very happy with my choice to transfer to Wartburg,” Roberts said. “I have already made friendships that will last for the rest of my life and made unforgettable memories.”

For other students considering transferring to Wartburg, Roberts has some reassurance.

“If I was able to talk to other students considering transferring to Wartburg, I would tell them that it would be the best decision they ever made. They will not regret it one bit,” said Roberts.
