Scholarship Recognition: Samantha Pfab

Each year on RICE Day, the Scholarship Recognition Luncheon serves as a space to connect donors with the student recipients of the scholarships they support. The College wants to recognize the donors who make it possible for students to attend Wartburg and have meaningful experiences as Knights.

Several wonderful speakers were lined up for the luncheon, including Kathryn Koob ’60. You might have read about Kate in the recent Wartburg Magazine; she was one of 52 U.S. citizens taken hostage in the 1979 Iranian Hostage Crisis, which marked its 40th anniversary last year. In lieu of speaking, Kate shared some reflections in the scholarship program, which you can view by clicking the button above. Take a moment to look through the program and take note of the hundreds of scholarships that are awarded every year, including the 20 scholarships that were awarded for the first time in 2019-20.

In the video below, Samantha Pfab ’20, another intended speaker, reflects on her time at Wartburg and thanks the donors who support hundreds of student scholarships.

The support scholarships provide allows for students to reach their full potential during their Wartburg careers. Thank you to all the donors who make a Wartburg education possible for so many of our students!
