HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT WARTBURG: Having grown up in the Cedar Valley, I have known about Wartburg for most of my life. Wartburg was on my radar early on in my recruiting process.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE WARTBURG: The combined tradition of academic prowess and athletic success is what ultimately drew me in. I wanted to attend a school that would both prepare me for life after college and allow me to compete at a high level on the football field. Wartburg was able to offer that.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: As of right now, I plan to attend Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., next fall.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WARTBURG FOOTBALL MEMORY: That is tough because there are quite a few great memories that come to mind. I would say that winning the conference championship at Dubuque last season is my favorite so far. It was an awesome experience that I will always remember.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE BEING A STUDENT AND AN ATHLETE: You have to have great time management skills to operate at a high level on the football field and in the classroom. Allocating the appropriate time needed to your sport and your studies is the key to being successful in both.

HOW HAS PLAYING FOOTBALL ADDED TO YOUR WARTBURG EXPERIENCE: The relationships I have formed with my teammates is something that will last a lifetime. The friendships I share with these guys will last a lot longer than my football career and have made my experience here at Wartburg something that I will cherish long after I leave.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO ARE CONSIDERING PLAYING FOOTBALL IN COLLEGE: I have had a great experience playing football here at Wartburg, and I would recommend that anyone who loves football to give it a shot. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it is extremely rewarding and helped shape me into who I am today.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A KNIGHT: To be a Knight is to strive for excellence in everything that you do. The bar here at Wartburg is set high for all students, both in the classroom and on the field. To be a Knight is to push yourself to reach the lofty goals set before you and constantly improve yourself every day.
