CURRENT EMPLOYMENT: Vice president of internal auditing, Meredith Corporation

WHY WARTBURG: After looking at several colleges and not knowing exactly what I wanted, Wartburg just seemed like a good fit for me. I liked the size of the campus and the classes offered.

HOW DID YOUR WARTBURG EXPERIENCE PREPARE YOU FOR LIFE AFTER COLLEGE:  Written and verbal communication skills were very helpful. I also enjoyed taking classes that were outside my major and helped me grow intellectually. Taking time to prepare for college interviews and developing a clear resume was also very helpful. I also think that the interaction with my peers, both in the classroom and out, helped me in my later interactions with others in my career.

WHY WAS YOUR WARTBURG EXPERIENCE WORTH IT: I enjoyed my time at Wartburg and can’t imagine making a different college choice. Having professors that know you and care for your success was important as well.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WARTBURG TRADITION: While I did enjoy Outfly, I think having the May Term experience was very beneficial. Taking time to focus on one class and enjoying more time with friends.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR CURRENT STUDENTS: Enjoy your time at Wartburg and look for opportunities to make the transition from college to career. Internships are a great way to gain more experience and learn more about your career.
