FORESTS OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST

Forests of the Pacific Northwest will travel to various ecosystems in Oregon. We will visit areas focused on long-term research, preserved areas, and areas managed for timber production. We will meet with professionals and stakeholders to gain perspectives on working landscapes and environmental sustainability. Students will receive 1.0 credits for this field biology course (BI 295). Even years.

Cost: The trip cost about $3800, which will include all transportation, lodging, and meals during travel off campus. Students may stay in field stations or other group lodging.

Preparation: Students should dress for field study (long pants, sturdy shoes, rain gear, sunscreen, and bug repellent as needed) when traveling off campus.
