WHERE DID YOU VISIT DURING ORANGE CONNECTION 2019: Easter Seals in Des Moines

HOW DID YOU DECIDE ON YOUR MAJOR: It has been my passion for a while. I have always been passionate about health care because I believe that health is very essential.

HOW DID ORANGE CONNECTION HELP YOU FOCUS YOUR DECISION TO MAJOR IN PUBLIC HEALTH? The experience was not directly related to my major; however, it gave me experience in my minor.

WHAT DID YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR ORANGE CONNECTION EXPERIENCE: I enjoyed the alumni hosts the most. I think that was a good way to see how people’s lives turn out after Wartburg. I got to be hosted by a very nice couple who met at Wartburg, and they were very inspirational.

WHY WOULD YOU ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN A FUTURE OC OPPORTUNITY: I think it is a good experience to get to shadow someone. You get to see what they do, and you can ask as many questions as you wish. It was an insightful experience.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT CAMPUS LIFE: Everything is close together so it feels homey.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR CURRENT STUDENTS: Take chances and use the opportunities you have to your advantage.

WHY HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE BEEN WORTH IT: I get to study what I am passionate about.
