Wartburg College’s Knight Vision won third place in Overall Excellence for Student TV from the Iowa Broadcast News Association.

The contest recognizes outstanding radio and TV entries across the state for entries broadcast in 2020 during the organization’s annual conference.

Individuals honors went to:

Ryan Reebenacker earned first place in Feature in Student Radio for “Shock to the System” and in Sports Play-by-Play in Student Radio for “Wartburg-Coe Football,” as well as third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story.”

Annika Wall earned first place in Feature in Student Radio for “Shock to the System” and Sports Play-by-Play in TV for “Wartburg-BV Basketball.” She also earned second place in In-Depth/Series in Student Radio for “Living in Limbo” as well as third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story.”

Emily McCalla earned second place in In-Depth/Series for Student Radio for “Living in Limbo” and third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story.”

Courtney Moser earned third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story” and in General Reporting in Student TV for “Pastoral Care.”

Lauren O’Brian earned third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story.”

William Wallace earned third place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Sowing the Seeds: The Hilda Fedeler Story.”

Britta Williams earned third place in Public Affairs for Student Radio for “COVID on Campus.”

Hope Mather earned second place in Public Affairs for Student Radio for “Edgewood: A Small Community Reacts to COVID.”

Jenna Brannaman Kannegieter earned second place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Beyond the Battlefield.”

Matthew Ohl earned second place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Beyond the Battlefield.”

Megan Stephenson earned second place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Beyond the Battlefield.”

Hannah Fox earned second place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Beyond the Battlefield.”

Josh Voigt earned second place in Public Affairs for Student TV for “Beyond the Battlefield.”

Nathan Stephany earned third place in In-Depth/Series for Student TV for “Student Elections.”

Rachel Green earned third place in In-Depth/Series for Student TV for “Student Elections.”

Joshua Hamlyn earned first place in Sports Play-by-Play in TV for “Wartburg-BV Basketball” and second place for Sports Coverage in Student Radio for “Sports Desk.”

Peyton Meisner earned first place in Sports Play-by-Play in Student Radio for “Wartburg-Coe Football.”
