The second concert in a new Sunday afternoon Wartburg College chamber music series is set for March 25.

The Castle Chamber Series: Music in the Afternoon will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Castle Room of Saemann Student Center. Admission is free, and refreshments and conversation will follow the performance.

“Interest and enthusiasm for the series has been steadily building,” said Dr. Eric Wachmann, professor of music, noting that the concerts offer “an opportunity to experience music in an intimate community space and in a forum where musicians and audience are encouraged to share in a unique performance moment.”

The concert will feature Wachmann, clarinet, and University of Northern Iowa music professors Sean Botkin, piano, and Julia Bullard, viola. They will perform three movements of Bruch’s “Eight Pieces, Op. 83” and Mozart’s “Kegelstadt Trio, KV498.” In addition, Botkin will perform three Rachmaninoff preludes for piano.
