Wartburg West Application/Requirements

New rolling enrollment process announced
Applications will be accepted from the start of the academic year until January 18, 2008. If more than 20 students apply for any given term, a wait list will be created in case of attrition.

- Internship Learning Contract (DOC)
- Faculty Letter of Recommendation (DOC) - Two needed!

Interviews will be held at the end of each month and students will be notified if they are accepted into the program. All students will be asked to sign a commitment form and turn in program deposits, half due February 1 and the other half due May 1.

Summer applicants must be completing their third year. In addition to the application form and letters of recommendation, summer students must submit a current resumé that has been reviewed by Derek Solheim in Career Services.

When should I start planning for Wartburg West?
This depends a lot on your major. Some majors require more advance planning than others. Talk to your adviser as soon as you start thinking about Wartburg West. Many students start planning to participate in Wartburg West during their first year. In any case, you should start planning during your second year.

Participation Requirements
Students may participate in the Wartburg West Fall or Winter Term program during the third or fourth year.
You must have a cumulative grade point of 2.5 or higher, overall and in your major.

Living Arrangements
Wartburg West students live in fully furnished apartments owned by the college (285 S. Lincoln St., Denver, 80209). The apartments are located in the city in a safe neighborhood near two modes of public transportation and numerous shopping venues. Major cultural and entertainment centers are easily accessible.

Wartburg West Apartments

Classes are held at Grant Ave. United Methodist Church and Community Center,  216 S. Grant, just two blocks east of the Wartburg apartment building.
