Research Fellowships/Internships The American Physiological Society Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program - will fund up to 24 fellowships during the summer of 2007 The deadline for the receipt of all application materials is Friday, February 2, 2007. The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is accepting applications for Undergraduate Research Fellowships (URF) and the Microbiology Undergraduate Research Fellowships (MURF). Deadline is February 1, 2007. RISE - Research Internships in Science and Engineering - gives students in the fields of biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering and physics the chance to spend a summer working with German doctoral students on serious research projects. The doctoral students help integrate the undergraduate directly into the lab work and serve as personal and professional mentors. All participants receive stipends from DAAD to help cover living expenses, and the partner universities and research institutions provide housing assistance. University of Iowa Summer Undergraduate MSTP Research (SUMR) Program - provides highly motivated undergraduates interested in future combined MD/PhD training the opportunity to conduct hands-on research with physician-scientists at the University of Iowa. Participants carry out independent research under the direction of an established mentor in a clinical or basic science department. |
