Conferences
Funding
is available for students presenting at conferences. Forms are located
on the undergraduate research homepage.
- 17th
Annual Argonne Symposium in Science, Engineering and Mathematics
- Nov. 3-4, 2006
Students invited to submit to present papers on research in biology,
chemistry, computer science, engineering, geology, mathematics,
or physics. All abstracts MUST be submitted electronically. Deadline
for registration and submission of abstracts is Sept. 15, 2006.
- NCUR®
Conference -
April 12-14, 2007
Dominican University of California
will host the 21st National Conference on Undergraduate Research
(NCUR®). Approximately 2,200 undergraduates from more than
250 colleges and universities will attend the three-day event.
- Undergraduate
Research Community for the Human Sciences Research Conference
Manuscripts, papers, and reports submitted
for consideration may describe student projects or research from
seminars, independent studies, research assistantships, or class
projects in the student's major, and must be completed between
January 1 and June 1.

in your discipline which accept undergraduate posters or presentations.

Students
Present at NCUR
Four Wartburg students presented at the 2006 conference. Erin Benoy
(Dr. Charles Figura), Miranda Haugan (Dr. Terry Lindell), Laura Durant
and Eric Cassman (Dr. Cynthia Bane, Dr. Shawn Ellerbroek, and Dr.
Johnathan Melville) represented Wartburg at NCUR® 2006.
Funding to present at this conference is provided through the Wartburg
College Undergraduate Research program. Ms. Haugan received a McElroy
Student-Faculty Research grant for her research under the guidance
of Dr. Lindell. Ms. Benoy received a Wartburg Undergraduate Fellowship
to support her research with Dr. Figura last summer. |
