The first floor of the Science Center includes the Carver Molecular Biology Center including laboratory space for Genetics, Neurobiology, and Developmental Biology labs, a second room with sophisticated instrumentation, a tissue culture room equipped with laminar flow hoods, incubators and fluorescent microscope, a walk-in cold room, and an adjoining prep room with a DNA sequencer and image analysis system. These rooms are used for student research as well as Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry courses.
