
Wartburg track and field

Completed in 2001, Walston-Hoover Stadium is the home for
Wartburg football and track and field.
The stadium features
an eight-lane, all-weather orange track and all-purpose football
facility. It has 4,000 permanent seats and a seating capacity
of 6,500.
FieldTurf, an
all-weather surface of artificial grass, is also used by such
NFL and NCAA Division I teams as the Green Bay Packers and
the University of Nebraska. The 100,000 square-foot surface
area is comprised of 46,000 pounds of artificial grass and
260,000 pounds of crumb rubber from recycled tires. |
