| Dr. Susan Kosche Vallem, MSW, Ed.D., LISW Chair, Professor of Social Work Susan joined the Wartburg Social Work faculty in 1987. She earned her B.A. from Wartburg College, her M.S.W from the University of Iowa, and her Ed.D. from the University of Northern Iowa. Her practice experience includes medical social work and clinical counseling with individuals and families, disaster mental health with the American Red Cross. Professional interest include counseling, crisis intervention, group work, advocacy, chair of Waverly Health Center Board of Trustees, Chair, Advocacy & Outreach Committee for Association of Baccalaureate of Social Work Program Directors. |

| A. Lynn Peters, MSW Tomson Professor of Social Work Lynn Peters, MSW (Univ. of Alabama, 1979) has been a part of the social work faculty at Wartburg College since 1992, having previously taught at Southeast Community College (Lincoln, NE) and Fort Hays State University (KS). His practice experience includes 13 years with public agencies in Kansas and Nebraska as a program developer, unit supervisor, and an agency administrator. Professional interests include social welfare policy, administration & planning, and the development of aging programs/services. |

| Dr. Tammy Faux, MSSW, Ph.D.,
LISW (MN) Associate Professor of Social Work Tammy joined the Wartburg Social Work faculty in 2004. In addition to her 7 years of prior experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate level Social Work courses, Tammy has also worked as a child protection and child welfare social worker for public agencies. She has also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for a juvenile court. Tammy's areas of interest include children, youth and family social work, child abuse prevention, service learning and technology in education. |
