SOCIAL WORK HOME > ACTIVITIES Social Work Activities and Opportunities The Social Work Club provides social work students an excellent opportunity to participate in service activities as well as to socialize. An invitation to join Phi Alpha, a social work honorary society, if a GPA of 3.25 or higher is maintained and social work classes are successfully completed. The department offers two May Term experiences in China and Alaska. A campus-wide safe zone project includes social work students and the Alliance organization on campus. With so many activities including athletics, student government, musical groups, and campus ministry, students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to participate in service-learning activities.
