Enriching the Experience
Classes are only part of the college experience.  Residence halls are more than places to sleep, study and have fun.  Living with peers from a variety of backgrounds provides a wealth of education. To accommodate individual tastes and interests, Wartburg residence halls provide several options in living environments.  Committed to providing this total education, Wartburg is sensitive to complementing classroom education with a healthy residence hall environment.  In support of this commitment one residence hall houses students who have an interest in service while another building is dedicated to student based learning initiatives.

Because Wartburg believes strongly in the value of residence hall life, each student is expected to reside on campus unless they have applied and received permission to live off campus from the Residential Life Office.

Residence Hall Philosophy
Wartburg seeks to establish a residential environment that promotes the fullest development of the student’s intellectual, physical, cultural, social, and spiritual potential.  The residential life system is designed to complement and expand the classroom learning experience by providing safe and pleasant facilities, professional and per group leadership, and opportunities for participation in a wide variety of living/learning events.
