Vocational and Research Interest
I am both a Hebrew Bible Scholar and an ELCA pastor. Before coming to Wartburg, I served as a pastor at two congregations in Wisconsin. At Wartburg I advise many of our pre-seminary students and work them to navigate seminary and synod candidacy processes.

I research and write in the areas of biblical theology and literary interpretation of the Bible. My published works center around the biblical books of Proverbs and Lamentations. I have published articles in scholarly venues such as the Journal for the Study of the Old Testament and in venues that more directly serve the Church such the Living Lutheran and workingpreacher.com.
