Fun Fact About Me: I spent time in a Mexican prison during spring break of 2013. No, it wasn’t for any sort of debauchery. I was co-leading a service project in Mexico and one of the organizations we were working with invited us to spend time in jail interacting with inmates. It was an interesting and eye-opening experience.

Inspirational Quote: Inspirational Quote: “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.” – Albert Einstein

Favorite Book: “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer

Hobbies/Interests: I love to get outdoors. Preferably doing activities like biking and hiking, but I enjoy exploring the concrete jungle of a major city as well. So traveling is something I love to do that ties both interests together, and especially road trips to National Parks with my wife and daughter.

What do you enjoy most about Wartburg: The genuine passion and dedication of everyone on campus to make Wartburg the best college possible. There is a true feeling that the campus is a community of scholars doing their best to make the world a better place. That is professors serving as mentors and role models, students engaging in meaningful community service and serving as leaders on campus, and staff members doing everything they can to enhance the Wartburg experience for students.
