I hope you will find the WRSL a safe place to work on your writing, reading, and speaking skills. Our goal is to work with you in your process of becoming a better, happier writer.

Hi! I’m Kaitlyn Baldrige and I am a fourth year biology major with an emphasis in writing. I am from Ames, IA and have loved my time at Wartburg. I play the flute in band and work in the Microbiology lab. I enjoy my sparse free time knitting, reading and watching movies. I enjoy biking and kayaking when I get the chance. I love to travel and went to Israel in May of 2011 and just spent my summer at Mount Rushmore. I cannot wait to see everyone back on campus!

Hi! My name is Sarah Israel. I’m a fourth year elementary education major, working toward endorsements in middle school and social studies. My hometown is Ames, Iowa, but I spent the first ten years of my life living in Tennessee. I love playing clarinet in the Wartburg College Concert Bands, volunteering, and, of course, working at the WRSL! In my free time I like to read, watch movies, and attempt to play my guitar. I hope to see you in the WRSL this year!

Hello! My name is Anna Lauterbach, and I am from Charles City, Iowa. I am a fourth year Biology major with minors in Leadership and Chemistry. I am involved in EARTH, I volunteer at Waverly Health Center, and I am a Dance Marathon Morale Captain. When I am not busy with class, studying, or other activities, I like to hang out with friends, read thought-provoking books, express my creativity through drawing, watch television, and of course, sleep. I also love traveling, and I plan on visiting Japan during May term this year. I am looking forward to meeting new people at the WRSL this year and helping students improve their writing, reading, and speaking skills.

Hello there!  My name is Ally Milner, and I'm a second year student from Missouri.  I'm currently studying Writing and Spanish, or, as another WRSL consultant has so cleverly phrased it, "Spanglish."  When I'm not in the WRSL, there's a fairly good chance you can find me reading, writing, baking, or designing scavenger hunts.  Whether you see me walking through campus or waiting at the WRSL, I'd love to chat with you, so come on over and say "Hi!"

Hello all! My name is Rut Nastiti, I am from Jakarta, Indonesia, I've lived in Italy for two years before coming to the USA. I am a Communication Arts major; I want to be a journalist and a writer in the future. I enjoy taking pictures and travelling during my spare time. I am very happy to work with everybody this year!

Hi! I'm Dani Tanner and I am a third-year student from Cedar Falls, IA. I am a double-major in Pre-Nursing Biology and Spanish and in the future I hope to be a neonatal nurse and work with premature and sick infants.  On campus, I am involved in orientation staff, Spanish club, ambassadors, and I am also a lifeguard at The W. In my free time, I love to visit with my family and friends, read books by Ted Dekker, spend time outdoors, and travel. I studied in Costa Rica during my first May term and fell in love with the culture and scenery, and now I look forward to studying abroad in Argentina next year! I love meeting new people, so I am looking forward to seeing everyone in the WRSL this year!

Hey, my name is Josh Trueblood. I am a fourth year Business Administration major from Bettendorf, Iowa. I play tennis at Wartburg and am a huge sports fan. I also enjoy video games, indie music, playing the drums, and cat naps. This is my first year in the WRSL and I am very excited to work with everyone in the lab.

Hello!  My name is Emily Hogan, and I am a third-year Music Major at Wartburg.  I really enjoy writing intensive and research classes the most!  During my free time, I enjoy playing saxophone in the Wartburg College Concert Bands and the Knightliters Jazz Band.  I love to travel, play sports, learn new languages, and watch Grey's Anatomy with friends.  This is my first year in the WRSL, and I can't wait to help you in the lab!

I'm a fourth year biology major and am applying to medical school this year. I enjoy running, camping, riding horse, and just spending time outdoors. I love to travel and have been to Europe, Tanzania, and Guyana during my May terms. I play saxophone in band and am involved in Students for Peace and Justice. I look forward to working with you!

Hi, I'm Zach! I am a third year majoring in Political Science and International Relations with a minor (possible major) in German Studies. In May, I traveled to Germany and studied for the German language for four weeks. In the future I hope to attain an internship in Berlin with the U.S. Embassy. I spend a lot of my time with two choirs, the Wartburg Choir and the Ritterchor and could not be happier being a part of these amazing groups! The Student Senate also takes a large chunk of my commitment and I find this is the best way to put forth change as a student. My family just got a dog so on breaks I will be looking forward to seeing her again! I also look forward to playing tennis, running, and watching Trueblood during my free time!

I am a freshmen majoring in Business and Economics. I enjoy reading, dancing, debating, swimming and tennis. I also love travelling; I’ve been to 12 different countries and I speak Italian (I used to speak French too). I also think I am funny (or not). I am very excited to be working with WRSL and I very much look forward to working with you all.

My name is Shayla and I am from Burlington, Iowa.  I am a third year Biology major (pre-physical therapy) with double minors in Psychology and Intercultural Studies.  I am also involved in the Wartburg College Concert Bands where I play the saxophone!  I enjoy travelling around the world to places like Senegal, West Africa.  I love kids, running, volunteering, and just plain being me.  I look forward to seeing and helping everyone in the WRSL this year!
