How to Make an Appointment

1. Use the sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board across from the elevator on the third floor of the Vogel Library or on the WRSL door when the lab is open. This allows you to reserve a specific time on a specific day, and it even allows you to see the consultant of your choice

OR

2. Make a reservation by phone (ext. 8615 or ext. 8552) during office hours

Appointments are the surest way to guarantee service, but walk-in conferences are also provided if time is available.

What to Bring

  • The instructor's assignment sheet (and grading criteria if available)
  • All drafts of the paper, speech, or text you wish to discuss
  • A second copy of the most recent draft, for the consultant's use
  • The due date of the assignment
The earlier you come to the Writing, Reading, Speaking Lab after receiving an assignment, the more help we can provide.
