Meistersinger
Honor Choir Festival
The Wartburg Music Department hosts an annual weekend
choral festival of the state's most talented vocal musicians. The
Meistersinger Honor Choir is conducted by Dr. Paul Torkelson, director
of choral activities and professor of music. The weekend culminates
with a concert featuring the honor choir as well as select Wartburg
vocal ensembles. Guest ensembles and soloists are typically also
part of the program. Recent guest performers have included the Omaha
Symphony Brass and world-reknown opera star Simon Estes. Call 319-352-8300

The Meistersinger Honor Band is conducted by Dr. Craig A. Hancock,
director of bands and associate professor of music. The weekend
culminates with a concert featuring the honor band as well as select
