Jane E. Andrews is currently Professor of Music at Wartburg College.  She directs the Castle Singers vocal jazz group and St. Elizabeth Chorale (women's chorale) and teaches music education courses and applied voice.  Before coming to Wartburg she served as Minister of Music at 3000 member Atonement Lutheran Church in Overland Park, Kansas.  During her tenure at the church, she tripled the number of musicians participating in the music department, created a concert series, and supervised thirteen other professional and volunteer directors for the fifteen different musical groups.  On the college level, she has also taught at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Colorado State University-Ft. Collins, and the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as well as, in several junior colleges.  Her fifteen years of public school teaching were in Greeley, Boulder, and Ft. Collins, Colorado.  While there, she was instrumental in introducing vocal jazz to the public schools.  Research for her dissertation, British Te Deums of the Twentieth Century, took her to most of the large cathedrals in England.  Her groups have appeared at numerous regional, state, and local events.
