An online bibliography creator Wartburg subscribes to.  RefWorks can import saved bibliography formats from CSA, EBSCOhost, and a variety of other databases and creates bibliographies in citation styles such as APA, MLA, and etc.

APA:

  The American Psychological Association's method of citation
  • APAstyle.org  The official site for APA, they've placed the updated rules for electronic references and citations. This is the most recent information when it comes to citing a source from an online source.
  • OWL: Purdue University Online Writing Lab.  Purdue's OWL site includes general forms for the paper, as well as citation guidelines and examples.  They've included a PowerPoint overview of APA style.
  • APA Research Style Crib Sheet  is a summary of rules for using APA style.  This sheet was developed by Russ Dewey of Georgia Southern University and enhanced by Dr. Abel Scribe.
  • APA Style Resources Online developed by Ellen Hoffman, Assistant Professor Educational Media and Technology, Teacher Education Eastern Michigan University.  It contains links to further sources.
  • APA Documentation  Put together by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Writing Center it is a guide to writing citations and bibliographies using APA.

MLA:

  The Modern Language Association's method of citation.
  • MLA Official site of the Modern Language Association of America.  Opens at their FAQS page, which contains quick check information from the official source of the style.
  • MLA Examples  Put together by Richland College, it is updated frequently.  Many examples of citation, from Abstracts to Web Pages.
  • MLA Documentation  Put together by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Writing Center it is a guide to writing citations and bibliographies using MLA.

Chicago:

  Similar to Turabian, from the Chicago Manual of Style.

All/Other:

  Other styles or links that provide information on more than one of the citation styles.
  • American Sociological Association Quick Style Guide gives examples of citation examples when using ASA.
  • Comic Art in Scholarly Writing has examples on how to cite a comic book, graphic novel, or editorial cartoon; just in case you're in need.
  • Citing Sources in a List of References has many examples of how to cite materials in a variety of formats. The site is maintained by the Coates Library at Trinity University.
  • Citation Style for Research Papers a variety of examples for all the styles, put forth by Long Island University.
  • Citation Styles Online! a listing of different ways to cite online information, including such sources as:  web sites, Telnet, Email, and listservs.
  • Citing Your Sources put forth by Gustavus Adolphus College, this site has paper examples as quick models for Chicago, APA, and MLA.  Also PDF files requiring Adobe Acrobat.
