The Wartburg wireless network is provided for currently enrolled
students, faculty and staff and is an extension of the current network.
Therefore, current computing
policies apply to the wireless portion of the network as well
as the wired network. In addition, the use of hubs, routers, switches
or other network equipment which could interfere with the Wartburg’s
wireless network is not permitted on campus.
To use the
wireless network:
Windows Vista
- It must be running Windows Vista Service Pack 1.
- It must have a wireless Ethernet
card that supports 802.1x and 128 bit encryption.
Windows XP
- It must be running Windows XP
Service Pack 2.
- It must have a wireless Ethernet
card that supports 802.1x and 128 bit encryption.
Macintosh OS 10.4
- It must be running OS 10.4.x.
- It must have an Airport or Airport
Extreme card.
