Karen Koupal, Network Manager
Karen joined the ITS staff in 1999. She is a 1987 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She plans, directs and coordinates the design, installation and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure stable operation. She previously served as network operations manager for Oster Communications, Inc.

David Wente, Network Specialist
David joined the ITS staff in 2004. He is a 1999 graduate of Luther College. He is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving the network infrastructure and administering servers, including the Wartburg e-mail system.

Julie Breutzmann, Administrative Computing Analyst 
A 1987 graduate of Wartburg, Julie joined the staff in 1990. She also earned a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1974. She provides support of the administrative application software. Her previous experience includes computer consultation and support at various agencies in Wisconsin and Iowa.

A 2001 graduate of Wartburg, Chris joined the staff in 2003. He earned his M.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. He previously served as the national vice president of public relations for the Public Relations Student Society of America. Jim Ohmstede, Broadcast Engineer
Jim joined the ITS staff in 2003. His previous positions have included television stations in Iowa and Nebraska. He is a 1965 graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Journalism. He also attended the Elkins Institute of Radio in 1966. He provides the Communication Arts Department with support for KWAR-FM and WTV.

Hans Pregler, Production Manager/Ticket Office Manager
Hans joined the staff in 2005. He maintains technical equipment for Neumann Auditorium and the McCaskey Lyceum and manages the ticket office and ushers club. He holds as A.A. degree in Technical Theater and Electronics from Indian Hills Community College and Bachelors of Theater degree from UNI. In addition, Hans has worked at KWWL in Waterloo and KYOU in Ottumwa.
