All Wartburg international students are required to take part in the health insurance plan arranged by Wartburg through Rust International Associates. This health insurance plan has been designed specifically for Wartburg’s international students. The total annual cost for the insurance is estimated to be $1200 and will be charged in two installments (in September and in January) that will be billed directly to the student’s account. International students are automatically enrolled and charged for this insurance policy and do not need to send in any documents to apply for it. The costs of this required insurance policy are included as part of “personal expenses” on the student’s official admission letter and as part of “estimated living expenses” on the form I-20.
In general, students are expected to pay a fee of $25 for an office visit in addition to the annual cost. Furthermore, students are responsible for the charges and services that are not covered by this insurance plan. However, the $25 fee for an office visit is waived if students go directly to the Noah Campus Health Clinic. This policy is very competitive, has excellent service because it is administered through a local office, and will work internationally as well.
