Culture Fair

Student Center Ballrooms, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Come explore the world with representatives from almost 60 different nations! Enjoy samples of cuisine, learn about world cultures, and see traditional dress from all over the world.
Suggested Donation: $5 per adult

Monday, March 23
LGBTQ Issues Around the World

Buckmaster WBC 214, 4 pm – 5 pm
Join in a lively discussion on how LGBTQ issues around the world manifest into differing stereotypes, personal challenges, and legal rights. Co-sponsored with Alliance

Tuesday, March 24
Can $25 Change People’s Lives? Microfinance and the World’s Poor

Buckmaster WBC 214, 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.
Economics Professor Tamrat Gashaw provides an overview of microfinance and its revolutionary approach to solving the world’s biggest problem: poverty. This presentation is for people of all backgrounds and ages, and will include a discussion period. Sack lunch provided for the first 25 attendees.

Peace Dialogues: The Black Experience in America and Around the World
Chapel Commons, 6 pm
Intentionally led discussions on the personal experiences of students from all over the world, including the United States, on race and race relations. Co-sponsored with BSU Dinner will be provided.

Coffee & Teas from Around the World

Vogel Library, 7 pm
Come sample coffee and teas prepared in a variety of ways from all over the world.

Eucharist: International Student Perspective
Chapel, 9 p.m.
Come hear the testimony of an international student during this week of special events bringing the world to Wartburg.

Follow the Sun: Children's stories from the South Pacific, Central Asia, Africa, and South America from the Wartburg Theater Department @ McCaskey Lyceum
