The International Club is one of the largest student organizations at Wartburg College, with a membership of over 100 people. All International Students who attend Wartburg are automatically inducted into the club. However, membership is not limited to International Students. Our members include American students and members of the faculty, staff and also residents of the Waverly/Shell Rock community.
The club has aims to fulfill and strives to accomplish, at the least, the following goals:
Promote better understanding between American & International Students.
Assist new International Students adjust to the college environment and also to the American culture.
Introduce foreign cultures to the community through special events and programs, such as Chinese New Year celebrations and Culture Week.
Plan educational, cultural, social and recreational events for club members as well as the college and town community.
To achieve our goals, we work under the auspices of the International Programs Department.
